Club History

A group of motorcyclists, all members of 12-step fellowships, met in January of 1999 to discuss the formation of a "clean & sober" motorcycle club serving the Mother Lode region of the Sierra Nevada Mountains.

The 13 attending the meeting lived near a 60-mile stretch of Highway 49. Many of them had never before met, but all had common friends present.

On March 28th, 1999, after much discussion and many barbeques, we signed a Charter creating the “Messengers Central Sierra M/C.”

We put on the first annual Frog Jump Run at Tuttletown, California, in May of 2000, and have continued having fun and helping others through the years while our membership grows.

Please join us in May for the next run. We also have monthly meetings on the first Sunday of every month.
